I was asked three or four times last night if I was an original member of Phantom Planet. As in, was I in the band from the very beginning- and the answer is yes. I’ve been in the band since the days before Phantom Planet was Phantom Planet. I used to play death metal with Jason in his parents’ basement, before Alex, Sam, Jeff or Jacques were in the band. For anyone who doesn’t know the history of our beloved band, and wants to learn it, you should wikipedia us.
…cause if I’m asked that again, heads will roll…

you know, one time it was written in an article somewhere that you were a new member (they also had the band’s album time line all chronologically wrong) and I seriously wrote the editor a letter asking them to make sure their writers fact check their pieces. Because really, it’s not too hard to fact check this kind of stuff.

Kinda dumb to ask, actually… Even me, who know you only since the Panic at the Disco tour ( yeah, I had heard California and Lonely Day in my ”childhood” but didn’t knew it was Phantom Planet ) know that you are from the very very beginning. I would totally rip off their head if they were near of me anytime. Don’t take it personal, true fans know who you are. The newbies, like someone said, don’t know much actually. =) Keep it cool, you rock Darren, haha. =)
